Vallegrande Hand-Woven Wool Rugs

These hand-loomed wool rugs come from the town of Vallegrande in the mountains of Santa Cruz, famous for its horses, the beauty of its women, and where Che Guevara finally met his end. These rugs are actually the same style used as saddle pads by local horsemen. They are sturdy and beautiful, woven by hand with sheep wool from local herds. Available in five color combinations. Each rug has minor variations in size and shades. Each color available in three sizes: 5 x 7 feet (shown on this page), and smaller 2 x 3 feet rugs.
