Lyrical AngelsThe indigenous cultures of the Chiquitania embraced the18th century Baroque style in both their music and art and made it their own, adding a distinct aesthetic. These angels are creations by today's artisans of the Chiquitania, inspired by their local musical tradition, and blending it with local legend. They revived the almost-forgotten woodworking arts and now use the same woods, ochre paints, and techniques as their ancestors.
