Wood Pendant with Mermaid Scales

Abstract fish scales are hand carved into this wooden pendant. It captures the mermaid motifs that are found in sculptures throughout the Jesuit Mission Churches in the Chiquitania region of Bolivia. The most famous mermaids are found at the base of the priest's pulpit in the Jesuit Mission church of San Miguel. Comes with adjustable leather strap.
